Mieke Jacobs trained as a molecular biophysicist at Yale before pivoting to the only EMF measurement program accredited in the United States — the Building Biology Institute — where she completed 160 credit hours and the advanced IBE 312 course (fewer than 100 people in the country have done so). She is a BBI Lifetime Member.
Healthy House Chicago is her one-woman practice, operating out of Lake Zurich, IL since around 2017. She owns more than fifteen meters and tests for AC magnetic fields, AC electric fields, radiofrequency (27 MHz to 10 GHz), dirty electricity, and the grounding and wiring issues that drive most of what she finds. She specializes in low-EMF sleep sanctuaries, home offices, and pre-purchase and new-build consultations. No product commissions, no upsell to remediation services, no franchise.
