Satic started the way a lot of important companies do — with a dad trying to save his kid. When B.D. Erickson II's son developed electromagnetic hypersensitivity from high-voltage power lines near their home in Missoula, Montana, B.D. went looking for answers. What he found was that dirty electricity — the electromagnetic interference riding on your home's wiring — is real, measurable, and far more common than anyone was talking about.
So he engineered a solution. Satic's first patent in 2007 was a half-bridge CFL lamp with perfect power factor and near-zero EMI. One of those original lamps is still running today, 18 years later. The product line has since grown into a complete clean-power ecosystem: Power Perfect whole-home filters, Pure Power plug-in units, FieldShield EMF insulation, SaticPulse zero-distortion LEDs, and EMI monitoring equipment — all designed and manufactured in Montana.
