Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, he holds the BBEC and EMRS credentials from the Building Biology Institute and works inspector-only — no remediation arm. Mason Evan founded Test Your Nest after his mother's ALS diagnosis sent him into the world of environmental health looking for answers. He emerged a certified building biologist — BBEC and EMRS credentialed through the Building Biology Institute, working in the European BauBiologie tradition — and built a Fort Collins-based inspection practice around a single idea: your home is the one environment you actually have authority over.
The scope is broad: indoor air, mold, water, EMF/RF, geopathic and grounding evaluation, pre-purchase healthy-home reviews. The register is calm. The lab work runs through Eurofins. Remediation is referred out.

Why Choose Us
Most building-biology practices either lean into apocalyptic marketing or quietly sell the cleanup they just diagnosed. Test Your Nest does neither. Mason works inspector-only, refers remediation out, and frames his mission against the fear register that defines the snake-oil end of this vertical: 'Not to spread fear, but to be part of the solution.'
